EnquirePine Tree Inn is a simple, tranquil property nestled high up in the craggy mountains of Nyanga National Park. It’s a laidback retreat set in picturesque, well-manicured gardens and offers captivating views of the unspoiled surrounding woodlands and rugged peaks.
Pine Tree comprises a dozen fairly basic yet comfortable rooms and one self-catering guest house. Eight rooms offer views of the surrounding mountain landscapes, while four look out onto the gardens. The four garden view rooms have both a shower and a bathtub and four of the standard rooms (those with mountain views) also have a shower and bathtub, while the remaining four are shower only. All rooms have a somewhat ‘no frills’ feel but are nonetheless homely and welcoming.
Three meals a day are served in the dining room with all food freshly prepared by the resident chef. There’s a well-stocked bar serving a wide variety of local and international drinks, along with two lounges to relax in, both with open fireplaces for the cooler months. It’s lovely to enjoy a stroll in the gardens and there’s also a playground for youngsters.
Nyanga National Park is one of the oldest national parks in Zimbabwe and boasts the highest point in the country, Mount Nyangani, as well as the country’s highest waterfall, Mutarazi Falls. There’s a one and a half hour hiking trail which departs from the inn and leads up to the nearby Mount Susurumba, and there are many other hiking trails to be explored across the park which showcase the area’s rich alpine scenery. Extensive and diverse activities are on offer including boating out on the park’s five dams where fly fishing is also permitted at certain times of year. A number of short horse-riding trails are possible, along with white water rafting on the Pungwe River. There are two well rated golf courses, both in beautiful settings with fabulous views, and for those interested in the area’s history, the Ziwa Ruins (a former agricultural settlement dating back to the Iron Age) are well worth a visit.
Children are welcome and there’s a standard family room large enough to comfortably accommodate small families. The self-catering guest house is also an ideal option.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!
Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.
Thanks you once again!
