DAY 1: VICTORIA FALLS
On arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be met and transferred by road to Waterberry Lodge, a peaceful property on the Zambezi riverfront within easy reach of the falls. The itinerary during your stay is flexible, with various activities on offer. Options can be discussed with your hosts on arrival at the lodge.
Accommodation: Waterberry Lodge (full board)
DAY 2: VICTORIA FALLS
Today there’s likely to be a trip into town to visit the Victoria Falls from the Zambian Side. The rest of the day can be spent exploring the town, and there’s plenty of time to participate in optional activities such as helicopter flights or bungee jumps.
Accommodation: Waterberry Lodge (full board)
DAY 3: VICTORIA FALLS
The day begins with an informative visit to a local village, a chance to meet local people and learn about their culture. A sunset boat cruise in the afternoon is highly recommended.
Accommodation: Waterberry Lodge (full board)
DAY 4: LINYANTI
In the morning there’s a two hour transfer by road to the Kasane Airport in Botswana. From there, it is a light aircraft flight into the Linyanti Reserve which takes about 50 minutes. There is a strict luggage policy of 15 kilograms in soft sided bags for all these flights. The Linyanti is a private reserve known for its dense concentration of wildlife and small number of high quality camps. You will arrive in time for an afternoon game drive with an expert guide in an open 4wd vehicle. Unrestricted by the rules and regulations of larger national parks, off-road driving in the reserve makes for exciting, up-close animal sightings.
Accommodation: Kwando Lebala Camp (full board)
DAY 5: LINYANTI
A day of game drives interspersed with time to rest at the comfortable and relaxed Kwando Lebala Camp, with its superb views and lovely pool. The Linyanti-Kwando area is famed for its predators, with lion and the more elusive leopard and cheetah in action. Packs of wild dogs are phenomenal to observe when hunting and are a particular highlight of this area.
Accommodation: Kwando Lebala Camp (full board)
DAY 6: LINYANTI
Another engaging safari day. Typically there’s an early wake-up call and game drives commence at dawn, meaning guests can witness the bush coming to life at sunrise, with a tea/coffee stop along the way. Then there’s a return to camp for a hearty brunch and some quiet 'siesta' time. Gather again in the late afternoon for high tea and depart on an afternoon activity, returning at sunset for dinner in camp.
Accommodation: Kwando Lebala Camp (full board)
DAY 7: OKAVANGO DELTA
After a morning game drive, it is a 90 minute light aircraft flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta. Lunch on arrival followed by an afternoon game drive or water activity.
Accommodation: Kwando Kwara Camp (full board)
DAY 8: OKAVANGO DELTA
A mixture of land and water based activities (season dependent) are offered from Kwando Kwara Camp, with its pretty lagoon-side location. Waterways can be explored by boat or vehicle with extraordinary bird and water-based wildlife to see. These wetlands are home to hippos and elephants in abundance, and guests are often surprised during game drives by the high number of predators in this area.
Accommodation: Kwando Kwara Camp (full board)
DAY 9: OKAVANGO DELTA
A final day of compelling safari adventure
Accommodation: Kwando Kwara Camp (full board)

South African Airways and Air Botswana both serve Botswana (Maun and Kasane) from Johannesburg (daily) and most international travellers will fly into Johannesburg and connect either same or next day to Botswana. There are also less frequent services available into Botswana from Cape Town and Nairobi.
Quoted Price is given for guidance and includes All meals, local drinks, park fees and scheduled shared guided activities at each camp / lodge. The rate also includes all scheduled road and small aircraft transfers.
Following a conversation with our Botswana experts to understand your requirements, we will provide a detailed tailor-made itinerary and quote including or excluding International Flights depending on your preference.
Botswana works best in the dry season from May - October when the wildlife concentrates around the water and there is less vegetation around, making for excellent game viewing. The wet season runs from November to April and has its own attractions with green season rates and newborn animals, but game viewing in Chobe and the Delta is certainly less prolific and some camps are closed. The rain itself doesn't tend to be such an impediment as it is mostly short and sharp afternoon showers. Conversely to the rest of Botswana, the Kalahari region comes alive during the wet season with wildlife concentrating around the lush grasses that have been fed by the rain.
With light aircraft flights and small camps in exclusive wildlife areas, a safari including the Okavango Delta and Linyanti is never going to be a budget choice. Having said that, these camps are pitched at a (comparatively) reasonable price point with a simple down to earth feel where the location, wildlife and guiding is the star of the show. There is some scope to bring the budget down a little with excellent choices such as Machaba (Kwhai) and Selinda Explorer's Camp (Selinda / Linyanti) or to push the boat out and double the budget with the incredible Zarafa (Linyanti) and Vumbura Plains (Delta) Camps.
