EnquireSanctuary Puku Ridge Camp is an upmarket tented safari camp, situated in South Luangwa National Park, eastern Zambia. Approximately two hours’ drive from Mfuwe airport, this luxurious dwelling boasts a fabulous hilltop location with panoramic views of wildlife grazing on the floodplain below, including the Puku antelope, after which the camp is named. A prime game-viewing area, the park is home to over 400 species of bird and a rich diversity of wildlife, including lion, leopard, elephant, zebra, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, and wild dog. Away from the crowds, and fully immersed in nature, this stylish camp combines high quality cuisine, friendly service and delightful creature comforts with an authentic safari experience amidst eastern Zambia’s remote and beautiful landscape.
The camp’s main building is open-fronted and airy, with a striking thatched ceiling and a stylish blend of traditional and contemporary furnishings. Guest spaces comprise a sumptuous lounge, bar and dining area, all with stunning views. Dining is flexible and delicious meals are served both indoors and alfresco by the campfire. Private dining can also be accommodated. Outside is a substantial decked area, with a shady veranda and seating, along with a delightful water feature. Wi-Fi is available in the main areas.
Activities include day and night game drives and walking safaris with knowledgeable guides, along with birdwatching and bush lunches. Guests will be excited to learn that the likelihood of spotting leopards is particularly high in the surrounding area.
The accommodation comprises seven splendid, well-appointed tents spaced out across the hillside. Each unit contains double or twin beds draped with mosquito nets, a comfortable lounge area, and an ensuite bathroom featuring a generous freestanding bathtub, an indoor and an outdoor forest-shaded shower. Facilities include a ceiling fan and a safe, and each tent comes with large picture windows and a private decked veranda, ideal for observing wildlife on the plains below in peaceful seclusion and comfort.
Children aged six years and older are very welcome at the camp. One extra bed can be provided in each tent on request, with children under 16 required to share accommodation with an adult. The camp is generally flexible towards families, and offers earlier mealtimes for younger guests. Note, however, that there is a minimum age restriction of 12 years for walking safaris and bush lunches. Given the genuinely wild setting of the camp, parents are reminded that supervision of children is required at all times.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever

Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!
Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.
Thanks you once again!
