EnquireColca Lodge is a striking property set within the majestic Colca Canyon in southern Peru. The lodge lies just outside the charming town of Yanque, one of many traditional, long-established settlements situated nearby. The lodge's decor is inspired by the many ancient Inca ruins that have been discovered in the canyon and beyond, and the countless terraced hillsides which date back before the Incas provide a stunning backdrop.
There are 45 rooms, all with excellent views of the hotel’s picturesque grounds and the canyon slopes. There are several room categories on offer including doubles, triples, quadruples and several suites. All rooms have windows which let in plenty of natural light, an en-suite bathroom and a terrace. Guests are encouraged to relax and refrain from relying on modern technology as much as they would at home and in keeping with this concept, televisions are only available in communal areas.
The nearby volcanic springs lend the hotel particular appeal because they supply the property's own hot springs. There are a total of four hot springs, and they're noted for containing high levels of lithium which is thought to have a number of positive, soothing effects on the body. In keeping with the hotel’s eco-friendly policies, only natural materials such as straw and stone were used during the pools’ construction. There's also a full-service spa with a broad menu of treatments ranging from hot stone treatments to massages, facials and more. For those looking to discover the wider area, there are trips to a nearby alpaca farm, hikes to nearby pre-Inca ruins and opportunities for cycling, among other activities. And it's always a delight to return to the hotel and enjoy the spectacular natural scenery.
Although there are no child-oriented services or facilities, children are more than welcome to stay here and there is plenty to keep them busy in the area. Those travelling with young children are advised to book the Family Suite.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever

I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
