EnquireSet along the beaches of Zanzibar, Echo Beach Hotel is a great place for people who want to taste African living whilst also relaxing by the sea. With 5 acres of remote and unspoilt beach exclusive to guests, this resort provides a good resting spot during a safari tour.
Guest accommodation consists of nine two-storey palm-thatched villas along the coast. The interior design is modern and slick, but unpretentious and homely. All the rooms are large and include en-suites and private verandas overlooking either the sea or the landscaped gardens. The hotel has good facilities to ensure that guests relax, such as a communal swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and bar, where the owners and staff can often be found teaching local games and telling stories in the evening.
Water-based activities are another attraction of Echo Beach Hotel. The beach stretches out onto a coral reef that can be explored by foot during low-tide, or by snorkel during high-tide at their own leisure. The resort also houses its own SCUBA diving instructor with whom guests can explore the Indian Ocean further. Excursions to the Jozani Forest and nearby spice plantations can also be arranged.
Like its architecture, dining at the resort combines many cultural influences to create a unique experience. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the hotel’s main restaurant, and always consist of high-quality and locally-sourced food. Most hotels in the region offer buffets, so Echo Beach Hotel’s three course evening menu a la carte is one of the more exciting dining experiences in the area.
The resort works for couples and families alike. There is no minimum age, so families with children of all ages are welcome. A family villa consists of a double connected to a twin or triple bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms. Whilst there are no activities specifically designed for children, they seem to find their own fun in the pool and on the beach.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!
Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.
Thanks you once again!
