EnquireThe Tides Lodge is located along the Tanzanian Coast and offers a range of activities and private facilities suitable for all.
Guest accommodation is comprised of seven cottages, a suite suitable for honeymooners, and a villa, all lining the beachfront. Each of the cottages features a private veranda overlooking the sea, private sunbathing area, large en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, and hot water heated by solar energy. The villa is a six-bedroom self-contained house with its own chef, swimming pool, and high-speed internet.
The communal swimming pool, beachfront restaurant and bar, and massage facilities found in the main lodge are open to all guests. In catering for everyone's needs, the cuisine here is created using fresh ingredients and local chefs, who are more than happy to speak with guests about the food to accommodate any special dietary requirements.
As with most resorts along the Tanzanian coast, activities at Tides Lodge are primarily water-based. Guests can snorkel around the Maziwe Island Marine Reserve and go SCUBA diving in the Indian Ocean. Uniquely, guests can go big game fishing with an experienced skipper. The resort will then prepare anything caught on the trip. Tides Lodge can also organise Tanzanian safaris to the Saadani National Park, which is 50km away, for those wanting to see big five game and experience the African bush without dedicating more than a day to one safari.
This is also a fantastic place for families. The Hibiscus Family House consists of two large double bedrooms suitable for six guests, a central living area, and a dining table for private dining in the house. A private veranda and beach area means families can enjoy time to themselves. The Upepo Suite and large villa can also be used by families and extra beds can be arranged. There is no minimum age. Whilst the resort does not have a family program, its swimming pool, kayaks, safe sea-swimming, and snorkelling activities are fun for children.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!
Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.
Thanks you once again!
