EnquireHotel Katari is a well-presented, historic property with some quirky Spanish Colonial features and a fabulous rooftop terrace situated right in the centre of the delightful, historic town of Arequipa, Peru. This characterful hotel occupies a privileged location in the Plaza de Armas, the city’s main square and a local hotspot replete with restaurants, cafes and an impressive collection of Spanish Colonial buildings.
Rooms range from the budget-friendly Superior Rooms right through to the more expensive Presidential Suite. The eye-catching décor pays homage to local culture and history and the rooms have a comfortable, colourful and welcoming feel. Amenities include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, complimentary toiletries, a fan and a minibar.
Ascai 360 is the hotel’s well-respected restaurant, open daily for buffet breakfasts, light lunches and sumptuous dinners. There’s also a full-service bar and a terrace for al fresco dining, with its menu featuring a delectable array of Peruvian-style dishes. Last but not least, the lovely on-site spa is certainly worth a visit.
Hotel Katari is an excellent base from which to explore Arequipa, the second largest city in Peru, known for its rich history and fascinating culture and now a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are plenty of bars and eateries along with many places of historical religious interest scattered across the city. El Mistic volcano is one of three to dominate the city’s skyline and many of Arequipa’s buildings were constructed from its white rock. Away from the city, it’s possible to explore the volcanoes and the rugged, undisturbed scenery that surrounds them.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever

I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
