Overview

Hotel Emblem is a contemporary property located in the buzzing arts and theatre district of downtown San Francisco, USA. Recently renovated, this characterful, moderately-priced boutique hotel offers 96 ensuite rooms, a hotel bar and an artisan coffee shop. It’s located just a short walk from Union Square, the city’s key shopping and entertainment hub, and the surrounding streets buzz with restaurants, department stores, galleries, theatres, and boutiques. Hip and distinctive, the hotel offers stylish, modern accommodation at the heart of this iconic city.

Communal areas include the atmospheric Obscenity bar and lounge which serves up cocktails, contemporary art, and jazz, including regular live music performances. Emblem’s coffee shop, Bluestone Lane, located a few doors down from the hotel lobby is a popular spot for an artisan breakfast. Hotel guests are invited to use facilities at a neighbourhood gym. Valet parking and laundry services are available upon request, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The hotel offers bicycle hire for exploring the city, and also provides an ‘unorthodox amenities’ service, supplying guests with idiosyncratic items such as bath bombs and etch-a-sketches upon request.

The accommodation comprises 96 light and airy guest rooms, and the decor nods to the neighbourhood’s artistic influences, with modern artworks and literary quotes adorning the walls. Each modestly-proportioned but well-appointed room comprises a comfortable double bed, lounge chair and side table, and a modern ensuite bathroom featuring sleek black granite units with a shower, and some with both bath and shower. Deluxe rooms are located on the higher floors of the hotel and come with a writing desk and chair. The more spacious premier rooms come with either a king-sized bed or two doubles. All rooms are equipped with hot drink facilities, HD TV, in room music system, and Wi-Fi.

Children of all ages are welcome. Although there are no child specific facilities on offer at the hotel itself, there’s plenty for all age groups to enjoy in the area. The larger, premier rooms can be made up with two double beds, making them a good choice for families.

  • We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths.

Will be a trip we remember forever

  • I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
