Enquire&Beyond Benguerra is an exquisite luxury lodge on Benguerra, the second largest island of the stunning Bazaruto Archipelago off the coast of southern Mozambique. This undeniably chique property looks out on to a picturesque bay and, given its location in a protected marine reserve, is a haven for nature enthusiasts, as well as those who enjoy water sports and other water-based activities. There’s a wonderful reef to explore just off shore, and a whole host of options for exploring the island and the rest of the archipelago including forays in dhow boats, catamarans and even helicopters.
There are three types of accommodation to choose from. Most guests will stay in one of the ten casinhas or the two cabanas. These are bright and airy, thatched ‘mini villas’ that feature four poster beds and a wooden deck area complete with hammocks and a private plunge pool; they come with plenty of space, both indoor and outdoor. There’s also the family unit or ‘Casa Familia’, a large villa at the north end of the property comprising three interconnecting suites, each of which has its own bathroom. Children of all ages are welcome, and the ‘Casa Familia’ generally accommodates up to four adults and two children, although up to two extra children may be accommodated on request. This lovely unit has its own swimming pool and offers more privacy than the casinhas and cabanas. All of the accommodation options have direct beach access and come with air conditioning, overhead fans and mosquito nets.
Many activities are included in the stay, from swimming with horses and island expeditions, to snorkelling adventures and sunset dhow cruises. The reefs surrounding the island are especially pristine and thus are excellent spots for both snorkelling and scuba diving. Some additional adventures can be booked for an extra charge. These include catch-and-release deep sea fishing trips, catamaran cruises and helicopter flights offering superb aerial views of the lush archipelago and the clear blue Indian Ocean waters. Lounging about at the main pool, enjoying the lovely spa, and going for leisurely walks along the beach are also a great way to spend time.
For children there’s the excellent WILDChild programme, a diverse offering of age-appropriate activities for younger ones to get involved in from sandcastle building and horse riding, to treasure hunting, beach games and more. Note, however, that no evening babysitting service is currently available. Given the waterside nature of the property, parents are reminded to ensure that their children are supervised at all times.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!
Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.
Thanks you once again!
