EnquireThe contemporary and stylish Hotel Libertador Arequipa is located in Selva Alegre Park, one of the greener areas of the city of Arequipa in Southern Peru. Recently refurbished, this appealing property serves as a great base for discovering the city and its surroundings, with many popular attractions within walking distance.
There are a total of 88 rooms, with several different categories to choose from, ranging from the standard Superior Room to the Libertador Suite which overlooks the hotel’s main entrance. All rooms are decorated in a sophisticated colonial style, featuring earthy tones and wooden furnishings to create a rustic, authentic feel. They come with amenities such as bathrobes and slippers, a minibar and an LCD TV, with complimentary drinking water provided.
The hotel’s restaurant, Los Robles, has an excellent reputation and is popular with visitors and locals alike. It offers sumptuous buffet breakfasts, as well as lunches and dinners featuring a broad range of Peruvian and international dishes. The restaurant is very eco-friendly and focuses on being as sustainable as possible, with staff growing much of the food themselves. There’s also a bar serving a wide variety of drinks, from local specialties to fresh juice cocktails and more.
The open-air pool is located within the hotel’s well manicured gardens, offering stunning mountain views along with a relaxing jacuzzi. There’s also a fully equipped gym and sauna, and massage treaments are available too. Youngsters will enjoy making use of the several outdoor play areas and will no doubt love getting to know the hotel’s two long-term animal residents; a delightful alpaca and a tortoise from the Galapagos Islands that’s over a century old.
There's plenty to see and do in and around Arequipa. Main attractions include the evocative Convento de Santa Catalina, the Sabandia Mill, and the Plaza de Armas. Excursions further afield to the Colca Canyon can be arranged, along with other cultural or adventurous pursuits.
Children are welcome, and although there are no designated child activities or babysitting services, the hotel has several outdoor areas where children are free to play and enjoy themselves. There are also plenty of activities suitable for all ages in Arequipa and beyond, making this a great choice for families.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever

I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
