EnquireSet in the lush, verdant hills just outside Hue is Pilgrimage Village Boutique Resort. This large yet tranquil resort is ideal for those who want to stay somewhere peaceful, while still having the city proper within easy reach. Beautifully and tastefully presented throughout and with local artists' work on display, it has a pleasantly calm character and its unspoiled surroundings make it a fantastic spot to unwind and escape from fast-paced city life. For trips to the city, the resort offers a complimentary shuttle service that runs several times a day and has to be booked in advance. Boasting two swimming pools, a spa, two shops and numerous activities both at the resort and in the surrounding area, Pilgrimage Village is a great choice for couples, groups and families.
There are no fewer than 139 rooms and villas spread out across the well tended grounds. Though the resort does have quite a high guest capacity, it has a spacious, uncrowded feel. There are seven grades of accommodation altogether, ranging from the Deluxe to the Traditional Vietnamese Pool House. All types of accommodation come with a range of convenient amenities, from air conditioning and a flat-screen TV, to tea and coffee making facilities and a minibar/refrigerator.
Breakfast is served at the Valley Restaurant, which is located by a lake, while lunch and dinner are served at Junrei Restaurant. This is the resort’s main eatery and serves popular Hue dishes and imaginatively prepared Vietnamese fusion cuisine. For drinks, there’s the stylish Slope Lounge with its soothing live piano music, the Peanut Bar with its lush surroundings and the intimate Candle Bar.
Complimentary classes in tai chi, chakra balancing and yoga are available every day. The spa has a full range of indulgent treatments available and even offers some geared towards children. There's a choice of two swimming pools: one is 50m in length and is ideal for practising lengths, while the other is more for families and children. The resort was originally a centre for arts and handicrafts; there are countless pieces on display throughout and local artists’ works are showcased in the on-site art gallery. Souvenirs and keepsakes are sold in the two dedicated shops near the resort’s entrance. Many excursions are possible, including trips to the Phong Nha caves and half-day tours of the Bach Ma National Park, which is a popular destination for wildlife and nature enthusiasts.
The resort welcomes children and has two accommodation options aimed at those travelling with younger ones: the Family Standard and the Family Deluxe. Both options offer plenty of space. Pilgrimage Village offers some activities tailored specifically for children, including learning about local crafts and traditions, hat making and cooking, plus youngsters will no doubt enjoy exploring the area with their families and splashing about in the family pool. Parents are reminded that they must keep their children under adult supervision at all times.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
