Overview

The Silk Path Hotel Hanoi is an independent boutique hotel nestled in the centre of vibrant Hanoi, in northern Vietnam. This contemporary property offers friendly, attentive service, plus 106 well-appointed rooms, two restaurants, a café, two bars, and a fitness centre, all ideally located a short walk from Hanoi’s buzzing Old Quarter and French Quarter. It’s a great mid-range option for travellers looking to explore the heart of this fascinating 1,000 year old capital city.

Communal areas include two restaurants: Le Soie de Hanoi serves buffet breakfasts featuring a range of international dishes, whilst the ground floor Bellissimo Restaurant focuses on Mediterranean cuisine, priding itself particularly on its pizzas. The hotel has a relaxing ground floor bar and an elegant Piano Bar, a popular venue for cocktails. The open air terrace café serves snacks and refreshments, and is great for people watching. There’s also a reading lounge with free Wi-Fi, plus a well-equipped fitness centre onsite.

The property’s central location is ideal for exploring the eclectic sights of Hanoi. It’s a short walk to the town’s bustling Old Quarter, a hub of bars, restaurants, markets, and craft shops, whilst a ten minute stroll leads visitors to the tranquil oasis of Hoan Kiem Lake, where locals gather each morning to perform Tai Chi as the sun rises.

The accommodation comprises 106 well-appointed rooms, ranging in size from ‘deluxe’ to the more spacious ‘premium executive’. All rooms have double or twin beds, plus contemporary ensuite bathrooms. All units come with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, minibar and satellite TV. Note that a number of the smaller deluxe rooms do not have external windows. The larger executive rooms are located on the hotel’s higher floors, offering super city views, with some boasting a private balcony. There is also a generous presidential suite boasting panoramic city views, along with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a Jacuzzi and steam bath, and separate lounge and kitchen areas.

Children are warmly welcomed at the Silk Path Hotel. Extra beds can be supplied subject to arrangement, whilst the two-bedroomed presidential suite is an excellent option for families or larger groups.

  • We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths.

Will be a trip we remember forever

  • I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
