EnquireVilla Chitdara is a charming and intimate family-run property set on a quiet street deep in the heart of Laos’ Luang Prabang. Built in 2007, the property has a simple and cosy mid-range feel and is close to the towns’ many temples and former palaces, not to mention the bustling night market. Sit and read under the shady trees in the hotel’s tropical garden, relax at the terrace bar, or explore Luang Prabang and its surroundings on foot or by hired bike.
The accommodation is straightforward and comfortable, comprising 15 ‘standard’ twin or double bedrooms, and 10 twin or double ‘superior’ rooms. Families are welcome and all rooms include a small shower room, a mini-bar, TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a private balcony with excellent views of either the tropical gardens or the nearby streets which are alive with local culture. The biggest difference between the standard and superior bedrooms are their size, and the superior rooms also include arm chairs and a comfortable seating area.
Laos was not open to tourism until 1989, so Luang Prabang remains a relatively untouched town compared to the rest of Southeast Asia. Encircled by mountains and the cascading Tad Sae Waterfall which is spectacular during the wet season, the town boasts stunning natural surroundings. Gentle boat rides along the Mekong River are possible, along with visits to the many ‘Wats’ or temples in the area. Early in the mornings, monks can be seen gathering alms as they proceed down Luang Prabang’s streets and visitors are welcome to take part in the Alms Giving ceremony during their stay.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever

I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
