EnquireRiva Surya is a former apartment building that’s been transformed into an elegant boutique hotel and still retains many colonial-era design features throughout. The hotel benefits from being centrally located in Bangkok’s Khaosan district and is right beside the Chao Phraya River. It offers comfortable accommodation in spacious rooms and is a peaceful, idyllic retreat in the centre of a vast, sprawling city. The hotel opened in 2012 and, unlike others in the area, it offers authentic charm and character.
All of the hotel’s 68 guest rooms are handsomely decorated, well furnished and smartly presented, with a good range of amenities provided. These include air conditioning, an LCD flat-screen TV, coffee and tea making facilities and complimentary toiletries, to name just a few. All of the rooms have private balconies, with some offering city views and some offering river views.
The hotel welcomes children of all ages, with cribs available for free and a babysitting service available for an extra charge. You can’t, however, have extra beds in any of the rooms. In addition to the main pool, the hotel has a separate smaller pool for children; when by either one of the pools parents should be sure to keep an eye on their children. Some of the rooms are interconnected - these are ideal for larger families travelling together.
As well as the two pools, Riva Surya has a well equipped fitness centre and a spa offering many enticing treatments, as well as a pleasant garden and terrace area. The restaurant, Babble & Rum, offers a range of delectable local and national dishes, along with some international fare. Those staying at the hotel are very well placed for exploring Bangkok - many of the city’s top cultural sites, including the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Museum of Siam are a short walk away. Guests can discover the city’s many attractions at their own pace or can stop by the hotel’s tours desk to go on organised trips around the city.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever

I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
