Family holidays should be all about relaxing together. This holiday has been designed for families who want to slow down and take it easy in the sun shine, but avoiding the package resorts. We have chosen our favourite boutique accommodation for a year round holiday on Morocco’s Atlantic Coast.

Morocco makes the perfect base for a relaxed family beach holiday with mile upon mile of sandy beaches and year round sunshine. Around the ancient fortified City of Essaouira there are several gorgeous boutique small independent family friendly beach hotels. Here families get the best of both worlds, where those seeking relaxation can indulge around the pool, walled gardens and spas whilst their more active family members can head out surfing, body boarding, camel trekking or exploring the ramparts, fish restaurants and souks of Essaouira.
With direct flights to Essaouira with Easyjet (from Luton), it is only a short 20 minute transfer to the small laid back beach side village of Sidi Kaouki and the boutique Rebali Riads. Don’t expect Kids Clubs and all inclusive options, like most properties in this area, Rebali is a child-friendly boutique hotel rather than a dedicated family resort. There is a tennis court, two swimming pools, including one shallow kids’ pool and three private pools for upgraded villas. Rebali is barely a minute’s walk from the huge Atlantic beach and the handful of small local restaurants and each villa comes with a huge modern kitchen and the hotel serves meals to your private terrace or pool-side. There is a fantastic surf school in the village and it is easy to arrange camel treks on the beach.
We have extensive knowledge of Morocco and our team have stayed at many of these resorts with our children in tow. The Atlantic Beaches can be rough (although usually less so in the summer months) and are best for older kids and confident swimmers – so a resort with a good pool is a must. Our advertised from lead in price is based on Rebali Riads, one of our favourite options, but depending on your own preferences and availability, there are several fantastic alternatives ranging from larger resorts to boutique hotels (see accommodation tab above). Please call us on (UK) 0203 291 2907 and we will be delighted discuss the best options for your family.
Quote is based on return transfers from Essaouira Airport and seven nights at a 2 bedroom villa at Rebali Riads in Sidi Kaouki.
We also offer the option to swap a couple of nights of your week’s stay for an incredible stay in a boutique riad (traditional house) in the old town of Essaouira or Marrakech where you’ll be able to explore the winding souks and heady atmosphere of old Morocco before retreating to the sensory delight of a traditional Berber riad complete with roof terrace and central courtyard. Please ask us for a quote.
Guide price is based on recommended accommodations. Alternative accommodations and upgrades are available. Please get in touch for alternatives and upgrade options.
Marrakech offers the widest variety of direct International flights from the UK, but is a 3-4 hour drive from the Coast. Marrakech offers direct flights from London (Gatwick, Luton, Stansted), Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham.
Easyjet have introduced a twice weekly service from London Luton to Essaouira (Mondays and Fridays) which is an excellent option to save on transfer times and costs in Morocco.
Easyjet, Monarch and Thompson fly direct to Agadir further South on the Moroccan Coast.
Price quoted includes 7 nights peak season (covers school holidays) Bed and Breakfast in a two bedroom villa at Rebali Riads with private transfers from Essaouira Airport. If you are flying in to Marrakech, transfers cost an extra £80 each way.
We can organise a hire car, surf lessons in Sidi Kaouki through our partner surf school and camel treks along the Atlantic Coast. Please get in touch for a quote.
We recommend considering spending 2 nights of your stay amid the exotic atmosphere of Essaouira or Marrakech’s old walled Medina’s. Please let us know if you would like us to quote for this option.
This holiday is possible any time of year, with sunshine year round. Temperatures are highest from May to September, but still very comfortable with the hot temperatures inland well regulated by the Atlantic and the sea breeze. The winter still sees plenty of sunshine but temperatures are usually between the high teens and mid 20s (Celsius) with occasional but relatively rare overcast or stormy spells. During the summer holidays and May half term expect perfect sunny beach weather. In April holidays and October half term it is usually still very warm and sunny during the day, but cooler at nights. Christmas and February are good bets for winter sun, but expect to need to wrap up at night and be a little chilly if in the breeze and out of the sunshine.

We had a fantastic time. Thank you for all your help, advice and guidance in organising our holiday. As this was not our first booking with Tourdust we were confident that all our transfers would work perfectly and they did - everything ran so smoothly! The riad in Marrakesh was stunning - a truly beautiful oasis of calm in such a busy, bustling city. As you can imagine, we were very grateful for the air conditioning in our room as outside was so hot! I was nervous about walking through the souks at night, but as they were well lit we felt perfectly safe and found our confidence grew in navigating the journey home each time we ventured out. When we arrived at our lodge in the Atlas Mountains we were blown away by the scenery. The views were amazing and the beautiful lodge gardens were the perfect place to sit and relax before taking a dip in the pool. Our day trek was truly amazing - no small thanks to our guide Rashid, who was so helpful and knowledgable. The lunch in the traditional Berber village was delicious and we were were made to feel so welcome. The home owner showed us how to make bread and then cooked it for us in her traditional clay oven. This was a memory we will never forget as we stood surrounded by her chickens and goats watching her use her bare hands to prepare the fire! Our night in the desert was breathtaking. The camel ride at sunset was so incredible and the quad biking the next morning was brilliant fun. I am so glad we added in these extras as they really made the experience! We finally made it to our hotel at the coast, where the surf lessons were a hit and the hotel was a great place to relax and read! Thank you again for all your help. We would definitely recommend Tourdust to all our friends and family. Tanya

Hi Lisa, We had a wonderful time, thank you. Sidi Kaouki is the perfect retreat from the chaos of life. We all said it was our favourite trip to Morocco, even though it's our third visit. We are already thinking of returning at Xmas. Next time we will fly to Essaouira though, because the hike to Marrakech is too long to be comfortable when we could fly to a place 20 mins away. Thanks for all your help! Alex

We would very much like to give our feedback regarding our trip to Morocco because it was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish there was nothing to fault, Mustafa our guide in the mountains was great - discrete when necessary but delightfully eloquent and informed about a wide variety of subjects. The food in the mountains was superb ( though the toilet facilities in the gites d'etape left a lot to be desired!!) The guest house Dar Adrar was beautiful with amazing views. The riad in Marrakesh was lovely and such a welcome respite after the hectic souks.....and as for the surfing.....it was fab!!!! Mohammed our instructor was patient and so super cool....a real gem and great with our children.
All in all it was wonderful and we were all sad to leave. We will definitely consider using Tourdust again and wont hesitate to recommend you to our friends.
