Overview

Set in the affluent and trendy Camps Bay suburb of Cape Town, The Bay Hotel is a delightfully chic and modern property located just a stone’s throw from the beach. It’s centrally positioned along the Camps Bay ‘strip’, which is dotted with all sorts of restaurants, shops and bars, and is popular with locals and tourists alike. Despite this, the hotel maintains a relatively quiet and pleasant atmosphere, offering guests respite from the crowds that often frequent the area.

There are 78 rooms in total, all of which have plenty of space and are decorated in a bright, contemporary style. Furnished to a very high standard, they come with a range of convenient amenities such as air conditioning and heating, coffee and tea making facilities, satellite TV and an electronic safe. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, as well as complimentary toiletries and bottled water. Some of the rooms have views of the mountains, some have views of the sea and others overlook the main pool.

The hotel boasts no fewer than four swimming pools, fully equipped gym and there’s a wide variety of beauty and massage treatments available at the spa.

The Bay Hotel is very child friendly and children can be accommodated in any of the rooms, although hiring a cot or daybed costs extra, as does the babysitting service. Parents are reminded to keep an eye on younger family members at all times, especially when near one of the pools.

  • Thank you, we had an absolute wonderful time, and everything was well-planned and as described. Carla was crying on the day of our departure from Ants Nest, she didn’t want to go home and for it all to end, and when I asked how much longer she would want to stay, she responded “four weeks”

  • It was certainly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we loved every minute!! The standard and location of each accommodation was excellent, as was the variety of each different accommodation type. Our schedule was perfect and we managed to achieve everything on our to-do task list. Your documents were also really helpful, as were the driving directions. We all thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday. Happy to leave a review publicly if you point me the right way. Best Steve

  • Hi Lisa, We had a fabulous time thank you. The accommodation and other ideation were all terrific - that’s so much for your help. The apartment in Cape Town was particularly good - we would never have found that: Boschendal was great as well and game lodge was superb. Thanks again, Alistair
