EnquireLocated in the western part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, in an area known as ‘the Land of the Leopard’, this private game lodge is great for families wanting a safari experience while staying in five star surroundings. What it lacks in remoteness it more than makes up for in standards of luxury and service.
Accommodation comprises nine spacious suites nestled among indigenous foliage, offering peace and privacy. Three Executive and four Luxury suites have canvas roofs draped above ceilings set on permanent structures with the interiors a blend of colonial and classic. Each comes with a free-standing bath, plus an indoor and outdoor shower, and covered wooden deck overlooking watering holes. The Executive Suites also have a private plunge pool.
The exclusive Savanna Suite is ideal for families (although no under-eights are permitted in the main lodge), offering two en suite bedrooms on either side of an inter-connecting lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a large covered patio and private plunge pool. A private game viewing vehicle, with dedicated ranger and tracker, also comes with this accommodation, as does a private butler at dinner and a special ‘Bushbabies’ menu for younger guests.
Each suite offers double or twin beds, with the Executive and Savanna suites able to accommodate an extra person.
At the main lodge, the lounge and the pool overlook a floodlit waterhole, and a special viewing loft gives a birds’ eye view. Waterholes in front of the lodge and nearby dams attract many species, especially in winter months when elephants visit daily. A thoughtfully put together children’s day and night-time activity programme is also available.
Thank you, we had an absolute wonderful time, and everything was well-planned and as described. Carla was crying on the day of our departure from Ants Nest, she didn’t want to go home and for it all to end, and when I asked how much longer she would want to stay, she responded “four weeks”

It was certainly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we loved every minute!! The standard and location of each accommodation was excellent, as was the variety of each different accommodation type. Our schedule was perfect and we managed to achieve everything on our to-do task list. Your documents were also really helpful, as were the driving directions. We all thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday. Happy to leave a review publicly if you point me the right way. Best Steve

Hi Lisa, We had a fabulous time thank you. The accommodation and other ideation were all terrific - that’s so much for your help. The apartment in Cape Town was particularly good - we would never have found that: Boschendal was great as well and game lodge was superb. Thanks again, Alistair
