EnquireCloud Forest Lodge is a charming and secluded hillside retreat set in extensive, verdant grounds in the mountains of Monteverde, northern Costa Rica. Located approximately three hours from the capital of San Jose, this simple, comfortable eco-lodge sits within 72 acres of primary and secondary forest which is home to diverse wildlife and over 180 species of birds including beautiful humming birds and the indigenous motmot. Boasting panoramic views from its mountainside setting, the property offers numerous hiking trails from its doorstep along with a thrilling canopy zipline tour on site. It is ideally located just ten minutes from the famed Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, renowned for its spectacular biodiversity which includes over 3,000 plant and animal species. Cloud Forest Lodge will appeal to nature lovers seeking a rustic and peaceful retreat, well off the beaten track and immersed in wildlife.
The main lodge features a cosy, communal lounge and television room along with a bar and restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and an a la carte dinner menu comprising a choice of Costa Rican or international cuisine. An adjoining terrace offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and is a great spot for watching the sunset.
There are 20 spacious, wooden chalet-style rooms. Simply and comfortably furnished, each has a single or double beds, a seating area with a sofa, writing table and chairs, a coffee maker, and an ensuite bathroom. Outside is a private patio with seating and wonderful forest views.
Children of all ages are extremely welcome. A number of triple and family rooms are available, and reductions are offered for children under 12 years of age when sharing with adults. Given the lodge’s rural location, parents are reminded to keep their children under constant adult supervision.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever

I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
