Villa Song is an elegant boutique hotel in a tranquil riverside location just outside the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, southern Vietnam. This French colonial style retreat offers 23 bespoke rooms and suites, a fine dining restaurant with river views, a lovely saltwater pool, verdant gardens, a gym, and a spa. The hotel operates a complimentary speedboat taxi from the hotel into the city’s bustling centre, 15 minutes away. This stylish property will appeal to travellers on a higher budget who want a serene and relaxing base from which to explore the heart of thriving Ho Chi Minh City.

The hotel sits on the banks of the Saigon River, in a genteel neighbourhood of upmarket houses and leafy avenues. Communal areas at Villa Song include an elegant restaurant and bar, Bistro Song Vie, which enjoys lovely views of the river and offers all day dining and a menu spanning Vietnamese, Asian, and Western cuisine. The hotel’s picturesque tropical gardens house a delightful 30m saltwater swimming pool flanked by loungers. There is a fully-equipped gym on site, plus a spa offering a range of massages and beauty treatments, for which booking is highly recommended. Guests can travel in style from Villa Song into the heart of Ho Chi Minh courtesy of the hotel’s complimentary speedboat which operates at regular intervals throughout the day.

Accommodation comprises 23 individually designed, beautifully appointed rooms and suites, all with wooden floors and neutral decor. Each has a double or twin beds, a sleek bathroom, and views of the garden or pool. All are equipped with satellite TV, a complimentary minibar, and Wi-Fi. Several rooms have private balconies and a separate lounge area. Rooms vary in size and layout from the ‘Writer’s Room’ which is ideal for a single traveller, to the expansive 'Imperial Suite' which boasts an impressive 105m2 of living space and comprises a king sized four poster bed, a separate lounge, a deluxe bathroom, and two private balconies with views of the river and the hotel pool.

Children are warmly welcome at Villa Song. Although there are no child specific facilities at the hotel, the swimming pool and lovely gardens will appeal to guests of all ages. • We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths.

Will be a trip we remember forever

  • I would like to say a massive thank you for organising our Vietnam trip. The itinerary and execution were superb, as was the attention to detail. I would also like to thank the agent who was on the end of my whats app chat (I have no idea who they were!) – always available, always quick to respond, and kept me updated regarding times etc. Also, the guides Dan (north) and Tien (mid) were just excellent, and we really enjoyed their company. The lady (whose name I have forgotten) who was our additional guide for the DMZ day was exceedingly good and made that day very special.
