EnquireLa Petite Ferme is a well-preserved, luxury manor house in the town of Franschhoek which is known for its rich wine production and picturesque vineyards. This boutique property and working wine estate has a lovely restaurant and lies right on the very edge of the town, just a short distance from the edge of a nature reserve. Thanks to its hillside location, the property has stunning views of the scenic countryside and distant mountains.
The accommodation comprises Vineyard Suites and Manor House Suites. The five Vineyard Suites have recently been renovated and have a trendy, contemporary feel. These suites all come with their own private deck complete with plunge pool and have air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar and a smart TV. En-suite bathrooms have both a bathtub and walk-in shower, as well as underfloor heating. The four Manor House Suites are not quite as expensive and have fewer facilities overall, but they certainly offer a high standard of comfort all the same.
There’s plenty to do at the property itself. The vine orientation session showcases the estate’s very own vineyards and offers guests the chance to sample a selection of wines, along with accompanying canapes. It’s also possible to go on a half or full-day biking adventure or enjoy in-room treatments from a local ‘mobile spa’. The restaurant offers a range of country-style meals that are prepared using ingredients sourced from the local area and, of course, there’s a wide selection of wines to choose from. Tours of the on-site wine cellar are available by appointment.
Visitors to Franschhoek can try out the town’s highly rated restaurants and explore its extensive vineyards. The Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve is also close by, a protected conservation area with mountain landscapes and numerous hiking trails offering views overlooking Franschhoek Valley.
Thank you, we had an absolute wonderful time, and everything was well-planned and as described. Carla was crying on the day of our departure from Ants Nest, she didn’t want to go home and for it all to end, and when I asked how much longer she would want to stay, she responded “four weeks”

It was certainly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we loved every minute!! The standard and location of each accommodation was excellent, as was the variety of each different accommodation type. Our schedule was perfect and we managed to achieve everything on our to-do task list. Your documents were also really helpful, as were the driving directions. We all thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday. Happy to leave a review publicly if you point me the right way. Best Steve

Hi Lisa, We had a fabulous time thank you. The accommodation and other ideation were all terrific - that’s so much for your help. The apartment in Cape Town was particularly good - we would never have found that: Boschendal was great as well and game lodge was superb. Thanks again, Alistair
