EnquireLily Pond Country Lodge is a stylish property in a stunning, secluded location within the Garden Route area of South Africa’s Western Cape. This chic, contemporary lodge sits close to Nature’s Valley in a beautiful 12-hectare private nature reserve on the edge of Tsitsikamma National Park. With ten elegant rooms and suites, a lovely pool, Jacuzzi and spa, the lodge offers tranquility and privacy in an idyllic verdant setting.
Communal areas include a sleek open-plan lounge and dining area featuring a cosy wood burner for cooler evenings. Floor to ceiling sliding doors open onto lovely views of the three lily ponds after which the lodge is named. Outside is a pleasant alfresco dining area where breakfast is usually served, and a large decked terrace laid out across several levels. The inviting swimming pool is flanked by loungers and shaded by trees. There’s an onsite spa offering beauty treatments, reflexology and massages, subject to arrangement, and a quiet island within the estate houses a secluded outdoor Jacuzzi with lovely views, for which booking is essential.
Activities include peaceful walks along the reserve’s extensive nature trails, bird watching, or indulgent treatments at the lodge’s spa. The nearby forests, rivers, and farmland of Tsitsikamma National Park offer super hiking, mountain biking, fishing and boating opportunities. A short drive away are the popular resorts of Plettenberg Bay and Knysna, where one can find a great range of eateries, shops, and markets, along with various excursions including seasonal whale and dolphin watching. The elephant sanctuary at Knysna is a popular visitor destination and within easy reach.
The accommodation comprises ten well-appointed, contemporary rooms and suites, spaced out within the property to enhance privacy. Each unit features a stylish, open-plan design and includes a sleeping area with king or twin beds, and a smart ensuite bathroom with twin basins, WC and either bath with overhead shower, or bath and separate rainfall shower. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and fans, plus heating for colder days, and have a fridge, hot drink facilities, an honesty bar, satellite TV, IPod docks, and Wi-Fi. Sliding doors lead outside to a private patio with seating and lovely views over the estate and the lily ponds. Larger in size, the suites come with underfloor heating and offer extensive living space including a spacious lounge area with comfy seating, a roomy modern bathroom, and a private enclosed courtyard or garden.
Thank you, we had an absolute wonderful time, and everything was well-planned and as described. Carla was crying on the day of our departure from Ants Nest, she didn’t want to go home and for it all to end, and when I asked how much longer she would want to stay, she responded “four weeks”

It was certainly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we loved every minute!! The standard and location of each accommodation was excellent, as was the variety of each different accommodation type. Our schedule was perfect and we managed to achieve everything on our to-do task list. Your documents were also really helpful, as were the driving directions. We all thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday. Happy to leave a review publicly if you point me the right way. Best Steve

Hi Lisa, We had a fabulous time thank you. The accommodation and other ideation were all terrific - that’s so much for your help. The apartment in Cape Town was particularly good - we would never have found that: Boschendal was great as well and game lodge was superb. Thanks again, Alistair
