Overview

Located in the town of Jeffrey’s Bay is Diaz 15, a quaint guesthouse with a stunning and convenient seafront location just steps away from the beach and a short walk from the town centre. Stylish throughout, the guesthouse has a modern feel and offers comfortable accommodation, with all the bare essentials, at an affordable price.

Diaz 15s bright, airy suites are set out amongst lush, tropical gardens. Air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchenette, tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar, complimentary premium toiletries and a flat-screen TV are included. All suites have their own private outdoor area complete with barbecue facilities. The Suites, Superior Suites and Penthouse Suite all offer superb ocean views - dolphins and whales are often spotted here - while the Courtyard Suites offer views of the hotel’s attractive gardens.

Jeffrey’s Bay is very much a surfer’s haven and hosts the World Surf League event every July. While the town is known primarily as a top surfing destination, it’s also got an excellent reputation for fantastic seafood. The hotel doesn’t provide lunch or dinner - there’s only an in-suite breakfast service - so guests can either prepare their own meals or try out the town’s many cafes and restaurants.

There are plenty of activities on offer both in Jeffrey’s Bay and further afield. Those keen to spend their time at the beach can go kitesurfing, horse riding or sand boarding. The town’s many independent shops and eateries are a short walk away, as are its museums and galleries. While much of the focus here is on the beaches, many people visiting the town enjoy trips to nearby nature reserves and parks. The Kabeljous Nature Reserve is a coastal protected area with many hiking trails and a diverse range of species to spot. Another popular destination is the African Dawn Wildlife Sanctuary, which has a particularly large aviary and is home to more than 200 species.

Diaz 15 welcomes children of all ages. While there are no specific child-oriented services or amenities, younger ones will no doubt enjoy using the pool and frolicking on the beach. Parents are reminded to keep their children under adult supervision at all times.

  • Thank you, we had an absolute wonderful time, and everything was well-planned and as described. Carla was crying on the day of our departure from Ants Nest, she didn’t want to go home and for it all to end, and when I asked how much longer she would want to stay, she responded “four weeks”

  • It was certainly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we loved every minute!! The standard and location of each accommodation was excellent, as was the variety of each different accommodation type. Our schedule was perfect and we managed to achieve everything on our to-do task list. Your documents were also really helpful, as were the driving directions. We all thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday. Happy to leave a review publicly if you point me the right way. Best Steve

  • Hi Lisa, We had a fabulous time thank you. The accommodation and other ideation were all terrific - that’s so much for your help. The apartment in Cape Town was particularly good - we would never have found that: Boschendal was great as well and game lodge was superb. Thanks again, Alistair
