Your holiday starts off in marvellous Cape Town. Sat between the Southern Ocean and Table Mountain, Cape Town brings together atmospheric neighbourhoods, a glitzy waterfront, the wild Cape Point and some seriously good vineyards. In Cape Town, we include a private guided Peninsula tour and a private guided winelands tour. Every tour is tailored to your interests by our fabulous local guides who pride themselves on knowing the best hidden spots, eateries and cafes in the Cape offering a genuine insider’s take on Cape Town. We also leave a free day to explore, with options to visit Robben Island, enjoy a guided Table Mountain Hike, mountain biking or cycle tour of the City.
From Cape Town, take a direct flight to the Kruger region. Renowned as the premier Southern Africa safari destination, Kruger and its surrounding private conservancies offers world class big five safari. Nottens Bush Camp is one of our favourite camps in Sabi – offering refreshingly sensible prices, superb location and authentic atmosphere. You’ll soon be lost in the tranquil routine of days on safari, enjoying invigorating morning game drives, lounging at camp in the heat of the day, heading back into the bush in the late afternoon before winding down learning the art of the perfect sun downer. If there is a better way to spend your days, we’ve yet to find it.
From Kruger there are direct flights to Victoria Falls. We like to base ourselves at Waterberry lodge a friendly, small informal lodge in a secluded position on the banks of the Zambezi River. It is the perfect base from which to tour the spectacular Falls and broader region. The Falls are the big draw, You’ll drive there in the lodge vehicle and walk the Falls. The vehicle will carry towels when the water levels are high and cool drinks for you to enjoy after your strenuous walk around the Falls. There are also opportunities to enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambesi with sundowners (recommended), fishing and local village visits (all included in your stay).
This is a tailor-made itinerary. Accommodation is informal, small and friendly offering sensible prices coupled with a very high standard of service and experience. We can suggest serious upgrade options if you would prefer more luxury. This itinerary would combine well with a short stay in the Cape winelands, Hermanus (during whale watching season) and a road trip along the Garden Route should you have sufficient time. Equally you could forgo safari in the Kruger and hope across the border from Victoria Falls in Botswana

(Falls visit; sunset, daytime or dawn cruise; fishing; island picnics; guided birding; guided village walk, guided tour of town & local markets
This is a lovely choice year round. This price is based on travel in British summer holidays. Safari is best June to October which is the same time of year for whale-watching in Hermanus (two hours from Cape Town). From February to May Victoria Falls will be in full flow, but having said that, when water levels are lower you are able to see the rock formations and the visibility is better.
This is an excellent choice for couples or families with slightly older children.
Families travelling with younger children should be aware of the amount of travelling involved in this itinerary.

Thank you, we had an absolute wonderful time, and everything was well-planned and as described. Carla was crying on the day of our departure from Ants Nest, she didn’t want to go home and for it all to end, and when I asked how much longer she would want to stay, she responded “four weeks”

It was certainly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we loved every minute!! The standard and location of each accommodation was excellent, as was the variety of each different accommodation type. Our schedule was perfect and we managed to achieve everything on our to-do task list. Your documents were also really helpful, as were the driving directions. We all thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday. Happy to leave a review publicly if you point me the right way. Best Steve
