EnquireLinyanti Bush Camp is a small, traditional tented camp situated on the banks of the Linyanti Marshes within the Chobe Enclave, a private concession bordering the vast Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. Easily accessible by air via the nearby Saile airstrip, the camp’s location within the private reserve ensures much lower vehicle congestion than in the main national park.
The Linyanti Marshes are the main water source for this region, attracting an impressive diversity of wildlife, particularly during the May/Oct dry season. Large herds of elephant and buffalo are frequently spotted, along with lion, leopard, hippo, crocodile, wild dog, sable and roan. The area boasts spectacular birdlife all year round.
Shaded by trees, the camp’s wood and canvas main building is comfortably and traditionally furnished. Guest areas comprise lounge, bar, and dining area, all with sweeping views of the wetlands. A pleasant campfire area overlooks the water, and there is a modest swimming pool. Meals are served communally, either indoors or by the fire, and special diets can be accommodated. Electrical charging points are available in the main area.
Activities include day and night game drives, guided walks, game viewing from hides, and bird watching. Fishing (catch and release), boating excursions, and mokoro canoe safaris are available, water levels permitting. Between April and November, guests can take to the skies in an exhilarating half hour helicopter excursion.
Guest accommodation comprises six well-appointed, Meru-style canvas tents. Each unit contains either one double or two single beds fitted with mosquito nets, plus bedside tables and lamps, a comfortable sofa, clothes storage and luggage rack, and a writing desk with chair. All tents have an ensuite bathroom with fixed shower, hand basin with hot and cold running water, and flush toilet. Outside is a private veranda and seating with tranquil views.
Children aged seven and over are warmly welcome and an additional bed may be requested to accommodate up to three family members (including at least one adult) per tent. Note that families with children under 12 years of age must book a private vehicle for game drives at additional cost. However, families numbering five or more are automatically allocated a private vehicle, free of charge. Although there is a minimum age restriction of 16 years for guided walks, nature walks around camp provide a good alternative. The camp is unfenced and wild animals, including elephants, do wander through, so parental supervision is essential at all times.
With its peaceful waterside location, relaxed atmosphere and variety of activities, Linyanti Bush Camp is a great option for those seeking a reasonably priced and authentic safari experience.

Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
