EnquireSavuti Camp is an attractive, high-end camp overlooking the Savuti waterhole in the Linyanti region of northern Botswana. The waterhole is frequented by an abundance of animals and hundreds of elephant congregate here in the dry season. This remote camp is accessible via light aircraft only, with a 30-40 minute drive from the Linyanti airstrip.
The camp’s main lodge is a large, open-sided wooden structure crowned with a thatched roof, housing a spacious lounge and library. There are superb views of the waterhole from the bar and dining area and a small, shaded pool and viewing veranda, complete with fire deck. It’s not uncommon to see kudus and bushbucks on the board-walks and the birdlife is spectacular!
The accommodation comprises seven large, elevated en-suite canvas-and-thatch rooms, accessed by a network of raised boardwalks. All tents have a cosy but open feel with balcony. There are six twin-bedded tents (which can be combined to make doubles) and one family tent with two interlinking bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and entrance. All bathrooms have conventionally plumbed basins, shower and toilet. Service is seamless and the camp has a warm, intimate feel.
Both water and land-based activities are offered. Morning and evening game drives are possible and predator sightings of lions, leopards, hyenas and wild dogs can be phenomenal in the dry season. A charming, elevated log-pile hide is located a short drive from the camp enabling guests to sleep outdoors and view animals up-close. The surrounding waterways can be explored at leisure by mokoro (dug-out canoes) with sightings of hippo and elephant common. Nature walks and fishing are also offered. Note that all water-based activities are seasonal and dependent on water levels.
Children of 6 years and over are welcome, although families with children aged 6-12 are requested to hire a private safari vehicle at additional cost. Note that animals are free to wander through the camp and while they are unlikely to approach humans or tents, children must remain under the close supervision of their parents at all times.
Savuti Camp offers high quality accommodation in a stunning wilderness location. Situated right in the heart of the Linyanti Concession, the wildlife viewing is superb. The small number of exclusive properties and low guest density in the area make for a high price tag. However, for those looking for great quality accommodation with fantastic wildlife on tap, this camp presents the ideal solution.
We had an extraordinary time. It was magical and we couldn't hav asked or hoped for more. Thank you both so much for all of your time and assistance.

Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!
Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.
Thanks you once again!
